it kinda struck me as ironic that we're supposed to be an "evangelical branch", but yet we're not actively pushing down the 4 walls to reach out to the community.in fact, we're not exactly the most welcoming bunch of people to newcomers.
okay sorry, having a cynical moment there.
on friday we watched freaky friday for cell.cos it was friday the 13th.haha so lame yes?but it was a nice show la.and there were a couple of thoughts to ponder about too.didn't realise that lindsay lohan was so round though.at the face la.
saturday morning was spent grocery shopping at imm.haha it was kinda cool la, went with my dad and brother cos my mom had to work the whole day.had family lunch after that with my grandparents, then off to corps for worship prac.a looong worship prac, cos rachel came down to give us a couple of pointers about transitions and stuff.went for cheap sushi dinner at ang mo kio after that.it cost like 5bucks per person only la.later persuaded joel to send me and shermin home.(:
today met shermin at shell bus stop to take 52.haha we realised that we really see each other everyday!my everyday friend!headed down to corps for prac before service.major bob gave the message today, about being fishers of men and women.had soldiership class after service, and then went down to meet shermin at her sin ming house!nuah-ed there for a while talking, cos it was raining and really really cold.decided to go to miss clarity cafe for some chocolate lovin' to make ourselves err, less depressed.haha.after that we had the idea to go visit cheeyong, and so we called and asked him if he was visitable.
went over to his place and played with ethan and emma.kids these days!toy cars and barbie dolls are replaced with wii lor.haha played tennis, bowling and baseball with ethan.he's real good.
he's only 5 years old by the way.
but nonetheless, he beat everyone else lor.matt, daniel me and shermin.yvonne ordered pizza for dinner, so ended up staying til nearly 11pm before we left.ali was kind enough to lend us her car and matt was kind enough to send us home.(: another ride home again!
