hello from new york city!it's tuesday 1106pm here, and i'm getting ready for bed haha.it's been quite fun so far i guess...i'm not really a walk around and see sights kind of person. plus the fact that its sooo cold around here.at least, to me.so that makes me miserable :( haha.my idea of a vacation is somewhere with weather i can stand, waking up and deciding that maybe i don't want to do anything for the day, just laze around, walk alot less, shop when i have the mood, and definitely someplace i don't have to fly so far to.haha don't get me wrong, it's been fun on this holiday! it's just probably a holiday i wouldn't plan for myself.
anyway, so far we've been about nearly a week in here.spent like nearly 2 days travelling, of which i wanted to die.the flight was terrible i hate flying!thinking of having to fly back is just...terrible terrible terrible.arrived at washington dc, crashed the night and then headed up to niagara falls in canada the next morning.the falls was fantastic!although if you think about it it's just water flowing, but the sight's really amazing.spent a day in toronto, up the CN tower.then on monday we headed to nyc, where we are now.new york is...everything i expected, and everything i did not too.haha.it's really cool going to the streets and avenues which all sound so familiar yet you've never been there before.like madison avenue, 5th avenue, the numbered streets, wall street, broadway...haha!and all the familiar sights, like the yellow taxis, brooklyn bridge, empire state building, the subway, times square...oh but nyc is kinda dirty.the roads aren't very nice, traffic is terrible, and the people walk really fast.haha.oh and everyone walks around with newspaper in one hand, and coffee cup in the other.and starbucks is EVERYWHERE.been eating quite a lot i think.and the portions are just crazy.
we'll be in nyc til saturday, where after that we'll be heading to boston, then back to washington.haven't really shopped much yet, cos there's nothing really much to get in canada and in new york.david's got quite a lot of souvenirs, but i'm still having a headache figuring out what to get for everybody haha!
oh i think they're shooting a movie or something downstairs outside our hotel.there's trailers and lights and big trucks and everything.so cool right?haha.
okay, til the next time we get free wireless access in our room! :D
