happy 2010! :D
back from the US on thursday night/friday morning. it was an eventful trip haha! but i think that was what made it exciting and memorable. running after every transport; train, bus, plane! nearly had to stay in hongkong for an additional night cos our flight got delayed, which meant we would miss our connecting flight which was the last flight of the day. but they bumped us to another airline which got us in about the same time as the original. and we have premium seats!
anyway, lots of things happened during the trip, and unexpected events that have cropped up, but really thank God that He was with us all the time; when we thought we would miss the train, we caught it. when we thought there would be no time, He made time. the trip was amazing, but tiring too cos we had to find transport all the time. still, saw many sights, experienced many things...SNOW! haha. it was all really cool. (:
2009 was a good year. many things fell into place. i got a job at haven which kinda gave me better insight as to what i wanted to do, got good enough results to get into NUS, school timetable and friends which all worked out great, a rollarcoaster ride with Him taught me (again!) to trust Him and Him alone, and not rush Him.
in 2oo9, i want to trust God.
specifically, with my life and the decisions that come along.
even more specifically, i want to trust Him with my results and the plan that He has for me. i don't know where i'll be going, what i'll be doing, but i want to trust that He knows and i will know in due time.
i want to trust Him with my friendships and relationships. that He'll be the Lord of it all.
i trust that He'll teach me and lead me to be a good leader, faithful disciple and earnest worshipper.
you may resolute at the beginning of the year, and half way through we always forget. but i think what's amazing is that despite that, He always brings you back.
